Crazy week!

Just like everything with the wedding planning... It seemed like everything was going to go wrong but then it turned out perfect!

I am going to start with the week leading up to the wedding.
I worked Monday to Thursday that week. I wish I could have taken the whole week off but my work does not get done when I'm not there and I was taking the next week off for the honeymoon so it was not able to happen.
Of course I was nervous that I was not going to be able to get everything I needed done and I will admit for the most part it was just my body that was present at work haha! I got what I needed done and that's about it. Thankfully my parents were here the entire week so my mom cleaned and helped out a lot and my dad cooked dinner! They helped out so much.
Then on Wednesday night Zach got a piece of paper off of the front door and brought it to me. It said that the power company was going to be working on the power lines in our neighborhood and that the power would be out Saturday (the 14th) from 8 am to 5 pm. My worst nightmare!!! We need power for the wedding! To get ready, to keep the house cool because it was pretty hot and also all the food we had in our fridge and freezer! The wedding started at 5 and who knows if it would be on for sure by then or not.
Thursday morning I called Rocky Mountain Power to see if there is anything I could do. Basically they said that there was nothing they could do because it's a big job that needed to be done and that's the only time they could fit it in and that it would take all the hours they had said it would take. I was trying to hold it together on the phone with the guy but eventually started to cry. He was super nice about it and told me he would see what he could do. He told me he would contact the job foreman and call me back later that afternoon. After hanging up I just had to keep crying. I was embarrassed about bawling at work. Many people saw me crying and I have the ugliest crying face that lasts for hours after I am done crying.
I ended up having to leave work a few hours early to just go take a nap. By this time, some family from North Dakota were here. I did want to see them but I snuck into my house because I just wanted a nap! They had read my mind because they were already napping!
After waking up from the nap I got the phone call from the foreman at Rocky Mountain Power, they said that they still needed to do the work on Saturday but they promised to be done by 12 noon. Ok I can deal with that. I thanked them for everything.
I had lots to do that night and was meeting my mom and sister for a spray tan at 8. They had just come from a dinner at my sisters with all the family. Then my mom gets a phone call from my dad saying their car isn't starting. Oh no! It costs a lot of money to fix cars too! Luckily we have a lot of extra cars because we had a lot of family here.

My next post will be about the rest of the week and leading up to the wedding!
