Bridal shower and weekend fun

This past weekend was pretty fun! It was non stop. I never had a chance to just relax at home but it was full of fun activities. 

Friday night my sister had a birthday party at my favorite bar, Cruzrs. They have karaoke there on Friday nights and that's what we go for. It was a good time and we sang lots of songs.

Zach is too cute!

Saturday was my bridal shower. It started at 1. It was a fun time! There was about 20 women there. All of which are great friends and family! We played 3 different games. 

The first one was the guess the amount of candy in the jar game. It was a jar of Hershey's Hugs. My favorite candy! There was 225 in the jar about. My guess was 111. I did not win :(. 

The second game, my sister asked Zach and me about 15 questions and then she read the questions to the guests and either Zach's answer or my answer and then they either had to hold up a mustache or lips for who they thought the answer was. It was cute! 

The third game was bridal scattagories. You could use the letters K M and S and you had 3 minutes to come up with words for the things listed. So one was...

Something a guest wears and you could say a suit or a mini skirt. As long as it started with the right letters. I'm horrible at that game. I cannot think when I have a time limit!

I asked instead of gifts to get money from people so I can prepare for the wedding (examples.. Getting my hair done, nails tans etc.) Some people are so generous. I was spoiled and have a lot of thanking to do. Barb though of having everyone grow me a "money tree" all the guests hung the money on the tree for me. 

On Saturday night me, my mom and my sister went to the Alan Jackson concert at Usana amphitheater. It was a good concert and we got to spend time with my mom. The last time I went to a concert with her was 2002. 

On Sunday I made breakfast for everyone   My parents had to leave back to Las Vegas so we said by to them. After that I went to get my nails done by Shaliece. 

Zach made a very yummy dinner of beef stroganoff. And we say down to watch the movie Flight. I fell asleep but from what I saw of it, it was pretty good. Zach said he liked it. 

Now I'm gearing up for another very busy week! No relaxing at home for me for a few days!

Wow!

Time is just flying by lately! 39 days until I get married to Zach. It's going to be here before I know it. Things are finally calming down and falling into place. I am getting more excited every day. 

On July 27th, Zach's aunt threw us a couples shower. When she asked me about having one I didn't know what it meant. A couples shower is like a bridal shower but both men and women can come and celebrate. We played one game where Zach and I had to sit back to back and hold up a stick with either true or false written on it. They then asked some questions and we had to say true or false. I think we had 8 out of 10 answers right. I would say we know each other very well! 

It was fun to get Zach's family, my family and some of our friends together since for the wedding it will be even bigger and more people will be there. 

So many fun things coming up! This weekend my sister and family friend Barb are throwing me a bridal shower. I can't wait to see what fun things they have planned. I also have my bridal pictures next Tuesday. I can't wait to wear my wedding dress!! 

Some goals I have...

- take some more pictures. I need to remember these times and I have been really bad at taking pictures. Good thing my friends are always taking pics or I would not have any!

- come up with more things to write about in this blog. I don't have a very interesting life at the moment. It's all getting ready for the wedding and I have never really been a writer. If anyone has any ideas please share with me!
