Changes

Hey! I'm married now and don't blog. I always think about it and have a lot of post ideas but just forget about it!

I need to write a blog about the wedding but am still waiting on the pictures so as soon as I get them I am going to blog it! It was the best day of my life and we had a lot of fun.

This post is going to be about how I feel being married...
I feel the exact same! Ha!

Zach and I have been together for 4 years now and have lived together for 3 of those years.

To me the hardest part is my new last name! I am proud to be a Smith now. Zach has a great family! But all of a sudden having to write and type a new last name is so hard to me. My new drivers license looks weird with the name Krista Smith on it. When saying my name in the phone now it's Krista MoSmith! Haha I am definitely going to have to get used to this new name!

It makes me so excited to think that now I am part of this new family. A family of 2 with the love of my life and eventually having it grow (EVENTUALLY! For all those people who ask constantly haha)

Friends

I have been thinking a lot lately about the meaning of friendship. Through planning this wedding, I would say I found out who of my friends are there for me no matter what.
I hate when people say "I found out who my REAL friends are" if they are your friend they are your "real" friend. If you enjoy being around someone and would like to maybe hang out again they can be considered a friend.
There are those friends though that won't go somewhere unless it benefits them in some way. That's who I am talking about now.
For the most part I consider myself a good friend. I usually go to everything I am invited to. I will listen to you when you have problems and try to help you out. I celebrate and I mourn with them when something happens. I even go to birthday parties and baptisms of their children. (This is not my definition of a "good" friend it's just something I think that a person close to another person would do).
Some of the people I thought would come celebrate my marriage with me are no shows for every event. And it makes me wonder if they will even come to the wedding? It shouldn't matter because Zach and our families will be there but it does make me sad. I really wish I could celebrate with all of my friends too.

I will continue to do what I do and going to all the things I am invited to because I know what it feels like to hope someone will come and they don't.

Alright, no more whining for me! 10 more days till the wedding and I am so anxious, nervous, happy, stressed, basically any emotion I am feeling it! I can't wait till the day comes I can be Mrs. Krista Smith with my husband holding my hand.

Bridal shower and weekend fun

This past weekend was pretty fun! It was non stop. I never had a chance to just relax at home but it was full of fun activities.

Friday night my sister had a birthday party at my favorite bar, Cruzrs. They have karaoke there on Friday nights and that's what we go for. It was a good time and we sang lots of songs.
Picture of my brother and me.

Zach is too cute!

Saturday was my bridal shower. It started at 1. It was a fun time! There was about 20 women there. All of which are great friends and family! We played 3 different games.
The first one was the guess the amount of candy in the jar game. It was a jar of Hershey's Hugs. My favorite candy! There was 225 in the jar about. My guess was 111. I did not win :(.
The second game, my sister asked Zach and me about 15 questions and then she read the questions to the guests and either Zach's answer or my answer and then they either had to hold up a mustache or lips for who they thought the answer was. It was cute!
The third game was bridal scattagories. You could use the letters K M and S and you had 3 minutes to come up with words for the things listed. So one was...
Something a guest wears and you could say a suit or a mini skirt. As long as it started with the right letters. I'm horrible at that game. I cannot think when I have a time limit!
There was a yummy potato bar and a great cake!
The cake.

I asked instead of gifts to get money from people so I can prepare for the wedding (examples.. Getting my hair done, nails tans etc.) Some people are so generous. I was spoiled and have a lot of thanking to do. Barb though of having everyone grow me a "money tree" all the guests hung the money on the tree for me.

On Saturday night me, my mom and my sister went to the Alan Jackson concert at Usana amphitheater. It was a good concert and we got to spend time with my mom. The last time I went to a concert with her was 2002.

On Sunday I made breakfast for everyone   My parents had to leave back to Las Vegas so we said by to them. After that I went to get my nails done by Shaliece.
Zach made a very yummy dinner of beef stroganoff. And we say down to watch the movie Flight. I fell asleep but from what I saw of it, it was pretty good. Zach said he liked it.

Now I'm gearing up for another very busy week! No relaxing at home for me for a few days!

Wow!

Time is just flying by lately! 39 days until I get married to Zach. It's going to be here before I know it. Things are finally calming down and falling into place. I am getting more excited every day.

On July 27th, Zach's aunt threw us a couples shower. When she asked me about having one I didn't know what it meant. A couples shower is like a bridal shower but both men and women can come and celebrate. We played one game where Zach and I had to sit back to back and hold up a stick with either true or false written on it. They then asked some questions and we had to say true or false. I think we had 8 out of 10 answers right. I would say we know each other very well!

It was fun to get Zach's family, my family and some of our friends together since for the wedding it will be even bigger and more people will be there.

So many fun things coming up! This weekend my sister and family friend Barb are throwing me a bridal shower. I can't wait to see what fun things they have planned. I also have my bridal pictures next Tuesday. I can't wait to wear my wedding dress!!

Some goals I have...
- take some more pictures. I need to remember these times and I have been really bad at taking pictures. Good thing my friends are always taking pics or I would not have any!
- come up with more things to write about in this blog. I don't have a very interesting life at the moment. It's all getting ready for the wedding and I have never really been a writer. If anyone has any ideas please share with me!

Blah

I just wrote a whole post about the wedding that I am not going to post, basically just saying that everything that can go wrong is right now and it's stressful. I read the post and just thought to myself that I was complaining the whole post. I don't want to complain about it. There is a lot of things I can do to make it less stressful and I'm just not doing those things out of my own choice.

I am really excited to get married!! We just have to put up with these stressful times for right now. I would marry Zach in a garbage dump if that's why he wanted to do.

Well here is the countdown...
60 more days
8 more weekends

Ahh!! It's coming fast!

Independence Day Fun

For the 4th of July we took the boat out and went camping. We decided on Flaming Gorge since they have first come first serve spots and everywhere else fills up really fast and was booked.
My brother just moved back to Utah from Las Vegas and is now living at our house.

He came camping with us and also Zach's brother and his daughter and Zach's friend Mark. It was a lot of fun but some funny stories...

We headed up there first thing on Thursday morning to make sure we had a spot to camp. It was me, Zach and my brother Jeremy that day. We put the boat in the water and headed out for a little bit. The water was really smooth so I told Zach I wanted to wakeboard. I put on the wakeboard and got in the water. Well just my luck, the wind starts blowing and boats come zooming past us causing lots of waves. That makes wakeboarding really hard! I got up and ended up getting knocked over by a wave. Zach pulled the boat around to pick me up and I didn't get a good hold on the rope so it got ripped out of my hands and that hurt my finger pretty bad! It was so swollen and sore and looked like smashed meat haha. Well after that he pulled the boat around again and now the rope was in front of my board. I almost lost it again so I grabbed it before it got away and flung it at me... Right into my eye. Now I have a nice black eye! I still grabbed the rope and wakeboarded though, until I realized my eye was swelling.

This picture was taken right after it happened. My eye swelled up instantly and bruised. It didn't hurt to bad, my finger was throbbing though.

The bruise just kept getting bigger each day! It is now healing though and turning yellow. Blahhhh! It's ugly. It's funny to see the looks I get when I go places now. People just stare at it.

We planned on staying till Sunday. Saturday it started raining at about 2:00 pm and we stayed at camp the rest of the day. Zach's brother got really sick and ended up sleeping the whole day. We went to bed about 11 after we had a camp fire. At 1:30 we get woken up, J wanted to go to the hospital, he was really sick! The closest hospital was 70 miles away! And that's 3 hours away from home. I offered to just drive him home and he can see a doctor there. We left about 2:00 am. I was not tired so was fine driving until about 30 min before getting home. I was ready for bed! I was able to go back to sleep at 6:00 am. Zach and Mark had to pack up everyone's camp the next day. I felt bad about that. But good news is that J is fine and didn't end up having to see a doctor cuz he felt better after sleeping at home for a while. Home is always best when your not feeling good. Sleep helps wonders!! And not being in the heat probably didn't help.

We probably aren't going to camp again this year. It sucks but we have lots to do before the wedding. We will get a couple day trips of boating in though!

Day 28 Blog Challenge

Day 28: my favorite movie.

A wannabe rock star poses as a substitute teacher at a prep school, and tries to turn his class into a rock band.

This movie came out in 2003. I was 14 years old. I have loved this movie ever since then and could probably say the whole movie to you. Here are some quotes.

Dewey Finn: ok mrs dumb bum ain't your teacher today, I am, and I have a headache and the runs. So I say time for recess.

Freddy: Um, are we going to be goofing off like this everyday?
Dewey Finn: We're not goofing off, we're creating musical fusion.
Freddy: are we going to be creating musical fusion everyday?
Dewey: yeah, get use to it.( Freddy grins as he leaves)
